This policy describes the ways we collect, store, use and protect your personal information. You accept this policy when you sign up for, register for, or use our products, services or any other features, technologies or functionalities offered by us, our employees, directors, subsidiaries, owners, affiliates, agents, partners, representatives or our licensors, either on our website or through any other means (collectively the “ChamberPlanet Services").

1. Introduction
This privacy policy covers all of the ChamberPlanet Services. It does not, however, apply to entities that we do not own or completely control, such as third-party applications and/or websites using the ChamberPlanet Platform. By using or accessing the ChamberPlanet Services, you agree to our privacy practices outlined here.
2. Information We Receive
Information you provide to us:
Information About Yourself And/Or Your Business. When you sign up for, register for, or use the ChamberPlanet Services, you provide us with your name, email, and other contact and/or business information. You will also be able to add a picture of yourself or a picture of your business. In some cases we may ask for additional information for security reasons or to provide specific services to you. Once you register you can provide other information about yourself and/or your business by connecting with, for example, your current city, hometown, business networks, job opportunities, events, activities, interests, places, websites, and social networks.
Content. One of the primary reasons people use the ChamberPlanet Services is to share content with others. Examples include when you update your status, upload a photo, logo, or picture, share a link, create an event, post a video, make a comment, or send a message. If you do not want us to store metadata associated with content you share with the ChamberPlanet Services (such as photos), please remove the metadata before uploading the content.
Transactional Information. In order to provide transactional and payment history for your purchases, we may retain the details of transactions or payments you make on the ChamberPlanet Services. Read the "How We Protect Information" section of this privacy policy to see steps we take to help keep your information secure.

We keep track of some of the actions you take on the ChamberPlanet Services, such as posting your status, editing your business information, uploading pictures, adding connections to third-party websites, posting a comment on an article or post, posting a job, indicating you “like” content within the ChamberPlanet Services, attending an event, choosing sponsorship, or editing content that you have previously posted. In some cases you are also taking an action when you provide information or content to us. For example, if you share a link to a video or upload a video, in addition to parsing the content you linked or uploaded through the ChamberPlanet Services, we might log the fact that you shared it.
Access Device and Browser Information. When you access the ChamberPlanet Services from a computer, mobile phone, or other device, we may collect information from that device about your web browser type, location, and IP address, as well as the pages you visit within the ChamberPlanet Services.

The purpose of Internet cookies is to make the your experience on websites easier to use and navigate. One example of Internet cookies is persistent logins, so that, for example, you will not be prompted to subsequently login anytime you click a link on a website after you have already logged in to the website. We use "Internet cookies" to enhance your web browsing experience, to make the ChamberPlanet Services perform better, and to protect both you and the ChamberPlanet Services. We use cookies to confirm your identity when logged into the ChamberPlanet Services, and to know what information is visible to and controllable by you. You may remove or block cookies using the settings in your browser, but in some cases this may impact your ability to use the ChamberPlanet Services.
Information we receive from third parties:
Connection Information. We do not own, operate, or completely control websites that you use or connect to through the ChamberPlanet Services. We may provide connection tools so that, if you choose, you can connect your account on the ChamberPlanet Services to your accounts on other third-party websites via an API (application programming interface). Once you make this connection, you can share information such as your status or pictures to your accounts on these websites. If you are asked to supply your password in order to make the connection with third-party websites, we will not and cannot see or store your password, as this authentication is not executed within the ChamberPlanet Services, but is accomplished on the third-party websites. Third-party websites that you choose to connect to from your ChamberPlanet Services account may return application authentication keys and/or tokens in encrypted format that we store with your account. This is so that a continued connection can be achieved without any future inconvenience to you. You may also delete connections you have created between the ChamberPlanet Services and your accounts on third-party websites by editing your connections and/or application settings either within the ChamberPlanet Services or on the third-party websites.
Information from other users. We may collect information about you from other users on the ChamberPlanet Services, such as when a user tags or flags you in an article, event, photo, video, place, or with your permission, when a user provides data for you on your behalf, or when a user provides more details about your business association with them.
3. How We Protect Information
We strive to do our best to keep your information safe. Keeping your information safe is also your responsibility, and we encourage you to take appropriate steps to help us help you in keeping your information safe.
Technologies we use to keep your information secure. We keep your account information on a secured server behind a firewall. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers and passwords), we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). In addition to SSL technology, we also provide an additional layer of encryption to any sensitive information that is stored with the ChamberPlanet Services. Also, any sensitive information that needs to be transferred to a third-party payment processor, for example, is also transferred using secure connections.
Steps we take to keep your information secure. We may use additional automated measures to enhance security, such as analyzing account behavior for fraudulent or suspicious behavior, may limit use of features in response to possible signs of abuse, may remove inappropriate content or links to illegal content, and may suspend or disable accounts for violations of our Terms of Service.
Risks inherent in sharing information. Although we allow you to control privacy settings that limit access to your information, and although we use reasonable industry-standard security measures to help safeguard your information, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Also, because we cannot control the actions of others, we cannot guarantee that only authorized persons will view your information and that information you share will not become publicly available. Because no security measure is flawless or perfect, we are not responsible for third-party circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures being used by the ChamberPlanet Services. You can help reduce your risk by using common sense security practices such as choosing a strong password, using different passwords for different services, knowing when and where to click when presented with information, updating your computer operating system and software with the most recent versions and patches/updates, and using up to date antivirus software.
4. Sharing Information on the ChamberPlanet Services
This section explains how your privacy settings work, and how your information is shared on the ChamberPlanet Services. You should always consider your privacy settings before sharing information on the ChamberPlanet Services.
Name/Business Name and Profile Picture/Logo. The ChamberPlanet Services are designed to make it easy for you to connect and share information with others. For this reason, your name and/or business name and your profile picture and/or logo do not have privacy settings. If you are uncomfortable with sharing your profile picture and/or logo, you should not add this image, or if you do not like your current image, you can upload a different image.
Profile Details. Your profile information settings control how people can see your profile information, such as your contact information, your phone numbers, your email address, your map location, etc. Remember that your email address is required to use the ChamberPlanet Services, and you do not have to share your email address publicly with anyone.
Contact Information. Your contact information settings allow you to see and control who can contact you using the contact information you list with the ChamberPlanet Services, and allow you to control how you choose to be notified when there is activity on your account, such as when you receive a response to a job opportunity that you post, when you receive a message from another user, etc.
Additional Contacts. In addition to listing information about you, you may also have the ability to delegate additional contacts/users to your account, including their name and email address. You may assign permissions on these users to control how they can interact and be associated and/or listed with your account within the ChamberPlanet Services.
Public Information. Some information associated with your account may be publicly available information, such as your name/business name, your profile picture/logo, and your connections to other users. Such information may, for example, be accessible publicly on the Internet (including people who are not users of the ChamberPlanet Services), be indexed by third party search engines, and be imported, exported, distributed, and redistributed by us and others without privacy limitations. Such information may also be associated with you, including your name/business name and your profile picture/logo, even outside of the ChamberPlanet Services, such as on public search engines and when you visit other sites on the internet. The default privacy setting for certain types of information you post on the ChamberPlanet Services is set to to be publicly available. You can review and change your privacy settings at any time. If you delete content that you have previously shared when using the ChamberPlanet Services, we will remove it from your profile and account, but we have no control over its use outside of the ChamberPlanet Services.
Other things to remember.
  • You understand that information that you share might be reshared or copied by others.
  • So that users can learn how to share content, some of the content you post for public display and the actions you take may be visible to them.
  • Certain types of information or communications that you share or send to other users may not be removed, such as messages.
  • When you post information that is to be used, displayed and/or associated with another user's ChamberPlanet Services account or third-party application or website, that information will be subject to the other user’s privacy settings or the third party's privacy policy and settings.
  • If you use a third party to publish information to your account with the ChamberPlanet Services, you should check the privacy policy and settings as determined and outlined by the third party.
  • Even after you remove information from your profile or delete your account, copies of that information may remain viewable elsewhere, but only to the extent it has been previously shared with others prior to such removal, was distributed pursuant to your modification of your privacy settings, or was copied or stored by others prior to such removal.
5. Information You Share With Third Parties
The ChamberPlanet Platform. As mentioned previously, we do not own or completely control third-party applications or websites that use the ChamberPlanet Platform. When you use applications and websites that use the ChamberPlanet Platform, information you supply in and to the ChamberPlanet Services from these applications and websites may become available outside the ChamberPlanet Services. Prior to allowing these third-party applications or websites to access any information about you, we require them to agree to terms that limit their use of your information, and we use technical measures to ensure that they only obtain authorized information.
Connecting with an Application or Website. When you create a connection between your account with the ChamberPlanet Services and a third-party application or website, it may have access to General Information about you. The term General Information may include your name/business name, your profile picture/logo, your user IDs, and other content that you share publicly. We may also make information about the location of your computing device or your chosen GPS location available to applications and websites in order to help them better organize and distribute content you share.

When an application or website wants to access your data, it is your responsibility to take note of the permissions granted to you to help control your information. You should always review the policies of third-party applications and websites to make sure you are comfortable with the ways they use information you share. We cannot guarantee that they will follow our privacy policy.
Exporting Information. You (and those you make your information available to) may use tools like RSS feeds, mobile phone address book applications, or copy and paste functions, to capture, export information from (and in some cases, import information to) the ChamberPlanet Services, including your information and information about you. For example, if you publicly share your phone number with the ChamberPlanet Services, others may use third party applications to synchronize that information with their contact list or address book.
Advertisements. Advertisers may display ads within the ChamberPlanet Services and may use technological methods to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize the advertising content to you, based on information contained in your account. Such information is not personally identifiable, and the ChamberPlanet Services does not share personally identifiable information with third-party advertisers unless we get your permission.
Links. When you click on links within the ChamberPlanet Services you may leave the ChamberPlanet Services website(s). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy statements. We also may track the fact that you clicked on a link contained within the ChamberPlanet Services.
6. How We Use Your Information
Any information we use within the ChamberPlanet Service, we try to provide a safe and customized experience. Here are some examples:
Contacting you. We may contact you with service-related announcements from time to time. You may opt out of receiving our communications with the exception of communications that are essential to management of your account. We may include content from the ChamberPlanet Services in communications we send to you and to others using the ChamberPlanet Services.
Providing the service. We use collected information to provide particular services and features to you, to measure and improve such services and features, and to assist in the support of your account. We may also use information that we collect to prevent potentially illegal activities and to enforce our Terms of Service. We may also use technologies to detect and address suspicious activity and screen content to prevent abuse such as spam. These efforts may on occasion result in a temporary or permanent suspension or termination of some of the functions of the ChamberPlanet Services.
Serving advertisements. We do not share personally identifiable information with advertisers without your consent. So that advertisers can select an appropriate audience for their advertisements within the ChamberPlanet Services, we may allow advertisers to target their advertisements using non-personally identifiable attributes we have collected (including non-personally identifiable information you may have decided not to share within or outside the ChamberPlanet Services, such as your interests, your business associations or classifications, or other information or preferences). For example, if you are a computer services company, we might use the fact that you provide computer services to show you ads from an antivirus software company, but we do not tell the antivirus software company who you are. Even though we do not share your personally identifiable information with advertisers without your consent, when you click on or otherwise interact with an advertisement, there is a possibility that the advertiser may use methods to track your interaction.

To offer joint services. We may provide services jointly with other companies or partners. If you use these services, we may share your information to assist the functionality of that service. We may disclose information pursuant to subpoenas, court orders, or other requests (including criminal and civil matters) if we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law. This may include requests from jurisdictions outside of the United States where we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law under the local laws in that jurisdiction, apply to users from that jurisdiction, and are consistent with generally accepted international standards. If ownership or part ownership of our business changes, we may transfer your information to the new owner(s) so that the ChamberPlanet Services may continue to function. In such a case, some information may remain subject to the pre-existing privacy policy, and your information would also be subject to any new privacy policy that takes effect.

Additionally, we may retain certain information to prevent identity theft and other misconduct even if you have removed such pertinent information or even if your account has been dropped. If you have given third-party applications or websites access to your information, they may retain your information to the extent permitted under their terms of service and/or privacy policy.
